Could u guys help me with this?

Last week in cl we looked at how advertising has shaped people's perception. Each logo has a certain perception of the brand attached to it. People have these perceptions and are generally unaware that they carry these views. In addition, we look up to celebrities and aspire to be like them (what are they like, anyway?) and we (at least some of us) buy products to present an air of importance and superiority. Why? It seems that the images and slogans we are bombarded with daily shape our consciousness; in other words, what we think and feel and, in turn how we behave. So how can we define orthodoxy in our society? What is the norm? Do people have a need to feel superior? Are there people who are superior to most of us?
