Was the big bang mentioned in the bible?

i have done lots of reserch on this question and understand that i must have been mistaken and must have read it from somewhere else when i was little. but may i remind all you yahoo users that (yahoo answers) is there for people like me to ask questions to things that they do not know the answer to so please in the future do not answer my questions with attitude or speak to me in a rude mannor or automaticly asume that i am stupid just because i dont know the answer to one question. i am very upset with all of you that have answered back rudely there is just no need for it !!!!!!! but i must say thankyou very much to the few people who did actually answer my question with kindness it was much apreciated. xxx
