Will life ever make sense again? how can i look at my dad the same?

ok so i was looking through some old home videos my parents kept. so i put one in to watch it and it was a video of my dad to a picture of margret thatcher, and he was touching our family pet ( sugar glider) in inapropriate ways. he also was making ual jestures at a decorative rooster that was on the mantle. how do i look past this tramatizing event and love my fauther again?
