What villages/towns/cities could i reach on a 4hr ish train journey form kiev ukraine ?

Lviv is further than four hours. On the west side of Kyiv, Rivne is four hours on the express from Kyiv. Zhitomir is closer to Kyiv, Lviv is about two hours farther west than Rivne.
